About the Congress
The first specialized congress on innovative manufacturing technologies for e-mobility components
The aim of the “Robotics meets e-Mobility” congress series is to strengthen the competitiveness of medium-sized manufacturers of battery systems, their suppliers, and plant manufacturers for electromobility in Germany.
We are planning three focus points:
1. Current Trends What does the future of battery system manufacturing in Germany look like? How do we strengthen manufacturers’ positions in international competition?
2. Efficient Production Users report on successful projects from practice, manufacturers present new solutions in robotics and automation technology, for example for welding and joining busbars and other e-mobility components.
3. Innovative Quality Assurance New and best practice solutions for inline testing, for example with cameras and 3D scanners.
A Unique Event
Among the conferences on the topic of “e-Mobility,” “Robotics meets eMobility” is the only one focused on the manufacturing and quality assurance of battery modules and components for e-mobility. The focus is on the efficient manufacturing of battery systems and components, from the delivery of individual parts through robotics and automation technology to quality assurance and shipping of the finished components.
Focus: Economical Manufacturing
Particularly highlighted is the interplay of different manufacturing processes with materials, such as automated welding and joining, robotics for part handling, optical methods of part positioning, inline testing, or position detection with cameras and 3D scanners.
A key aspect is showing companies that primarily manufacture products for combustion engine vehicles the paths to transforming into products for electric mobility.
Competent Speakers
Scientists and researchers present current developments and future trends. Automobile and battery manufacturers explain what their suppliers need to prepare for in the future. Users report on successful real-world projects.
A Forum for Exchange
The congress offers companies in the industry a platform for exchange and networking. Especially young companies from the robotics, automation, and innovative measurement technology sectors have the opportunity in Ingelheim to introduce themselves to large companies in plant construction and the automotive industry.
During panel discussions, participants engage in direct conversation with leading experts in the electric mobility industry.
The First Congress: A Great Success
The first “Robotics meets e-Mobility” congress in 2023, opened by Malu Dreyer, the Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate, was a great success: Speakers from major manufacturers of electric automobiles and components discussed what is relevant for the industry. Scientists and users have highlighted what the future will bring. More than 150 participants were able to network with each other.
„To ensure that German manufacturers can continue to play at the top, it is important to bundle know-how now – to bring together small and large companies in the industry. That is why we are organizing „Robotics meets eMobility 2023“. The congress is intended to bring market participants in the electromobility industry and robotics closer together.“
